Iron Horse
This is a boxed, fast-playing card game of railroad commerce, published in 1983 by Icarus Games. Set in the late 19th century, it allows two to eight players to control the destiny of a railroad company,
building trains and carrying commodities and passengers across America during the golden age of steam locomotives.
Each player draws cards from the Rolling Stock deck and uses them to construct a passenger or freight train. They then draw more cards from the Operations Deck, which will either be passengers, freight, special or destination cards. Passenger cards may only be loaded onto passenger cars; freight cards may only be loaded onto freight cars. The destination cards govern the movement of the trains from place to place. Special cards create either disasters or opportunities. The first player to earn $1000 for the delivery of freight and passengers wins the game. Each game contains one four-page rules folder and two fat card decks of operations and rolling stock.
